Swanpool is a shallow sandy dive, however is you don't mind sticking to the shallows or fancy a snorkel there is are rocky sections to either side of the beach where a load of interesting marine life can be found. Although maybe not the most exciting shore dive for the qualified diver, it can be a fantastic teaching location. The car park can be found behind the beach and the toilets to the side of that. Setting up at your car will allow you to keep your equipment sand free and then their is only a short walk across the beach and into the water. Swanpool is a busy public beach and the water is often littered with swimmers, paddle boarders and kayaks so care should be taken to stay out of the way of other people.
