About:
Durgan isn't the most accessible of dive sites but its well worth it when you get there. A tiny little village on the Helford passage there isn't a car park next to the beach, the closest one is about a half mile back up the road. You can however drive down to the beach, so the easiest way around this is to drive down and drop all your kit off at the beach then drive back up to the car park and get changed there, its then just a short downhill stroll back to the beach to go for your dive. Once your kitted up and ready to get in the water you now have a couple of choices, you can head to the left and dive around the rocks, this would have slightly easier navigation and there have been a couple of seahorse sightings in this area. Your other option is to dive straight out and explore the sea grass that grows only a 100 yards from the edge of the water. Which ever option you choose, the Helford is a shipping passage and there is always boats coming and going, it is advised to use an SMB at all times and to avoid venturing out to far into the boating lane.
